The Seoul Tourism Organization’s (STO) Global Fair and Sustainable Travel Contest has been selected as an official program of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and is being supported by Airbnb.
Airbnb continues to work with governments and communities throughout the world to help empower locals to share in the benefits of the travel revolution.
Seoul: As travel resumes and people continue to embark on long-awaited trips, Airbnb is supporting an initiative by the Seoul Tourism Organization (STO) to promote fair and sustainable travel practices. The destination marketing organization’s newly announced global contest aims to encourage travelers to adopt fair and sustainable practices that drive economic benefits to local communities, minimize environmental impact, promote cultural heritage and bring social benefits to locals.
The STO’s Global Fair and Sustainable Travel Contest – which has also been selected as an official program of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in 2022 – asks travelers, groups, or businesses to share how they have experienced or fostered tourism experiences in this space.
Airbnb continues to partner with organizations and governments around the world to find new ways to ensure travel is a positive experience for Hosts, guests, and the wider community. The company is supporting STO’s global contest in a variety of ways, including by providing a total of $25,000 USD in travel coupons to the winners, collectively.
Both businesses and individual travelers can participate by submitting their entries – in any format, including text, photos, or videos – to the contest’s official website between 21 July and 21 August. The winners’ stories will then be shared through the official Seoul tourism website.
