Empowering Trade Unions Through Digital Governance: Awareness Session On SAMADHAN Portal 2.0

New Delhi. : The Delhi Regional Office of the Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Ministry of Labour & Employment, successfully organized a comprehensive awareness session on the SAMADHAN Portal 2.0 for trade union representatives earlier this week at Shramev Jayate Bhawan, New Delhi.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Sh. P. S. Karmase, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), New Delhi. Following this, Sh. S. K. Sahu, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), HQ, set the context for the session, emphasizing the pivotal role of digital interventions and technology-driven efficiency in modern Labour Administration as well as emphasizing the role of Trade Unions in protecting the rights of workers.

The technical segment was led by Sh. Kumar Amritesh, Regional Labour Commissioner (Central), New Delhi. Through a detailed demonstration, he highlighted the core features of the SAMADHAN Portal, including the seamless online filing of Industrial Disputes, submission of various claims under the modern Labour Codes, and real-time status tracking mechanisms designed to empower stakeholders.

The session witnessed active participation from more than 30 representatives belonging to various Trade Unions and Central Trade Union Federations, including the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS), Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) and All India Central Council of Trade Unions (AICCTU). During an interactive Question & Answer segment, participants engaged closely with the officials, raising queries and sharing constructive feedback.

Expressing high satisfaction with the portal’s user-friendly interface and inherent transparency, the attendees appreciated the Ministry of Labour & Employment’s proactive outreach. The trade union representatives welcomed future awareness initiatives of this nature, acknowledging the SAMADHAN Portal as a landmark step toward accessible, transparent, and citizen-centric labour grievance redressal.
