New Delhi :- The 5th Edition of Logix India, a flagship logistics event organized by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) with the support of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India commenced from March 26, 2024 in Mumbai. The inauguration ceremony witnessed esteemed dignitaries, stakeholders, and international delegates converging to mark the beginning of a transformative journey in India’s logistics landscape.
Highlighting India’s economic prowess, Shri Ramesh Bais, the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra in his keynote address recognized the significance of the logistics sector in fuelling industrialization and generating employment opportunities. He commended the efforts of the government and stakeholders in nurturing the growth of the logistics industry and reaffirmed Maharashtra’s commitment to supporting initiatives like Logix India. In his address, he also highlighted the prominent role logistics sector is playing in development of India’s economy and the various initiatives of the government in this direction.
In his Welcome Address, Shri Ashwani Kumar, President, FIEO, extended a warm welcome to Chief Guest, Shri Ramesh Bais, the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, and other notable personalities from the logistics sector. Shri Kumar emphasized the pivotal role of Logix India 2024 in positioning India as a global logistics powerhouse, fostering partnerships, and driving economic growth.
The event witnessed insightful remarks from Shri Shyam Jagannathan, DG Shipping, Govt of India, who emphasized the crucial role of logistics infrastructure in India’s economic development. Shri Jagannathan outlined key government initiatives and investments aimed at enhancing logistics efficiency and reducing costs.
In his Vote of Thanks, Shri Paresh Kantilal Mehta, Chairman(Western Region),FIEO expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, participants, and stakeholders for their contributions to the success of Logix India 2024. He highlighted the importance of international collaboration and investment in modern infrastructure to unlock India’s potential as a preferred destination for logistics services.
With participation from around 100 logistics service providers from around 30 countries, Logix India 2024 is poised to facilitate strategic collaborations, explore growth opportunities, and elevate India’s position on the global logistics stage. The 3-day event is held from March 26-28,2024 at Mumbai.
