Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station Draws Crowds of Book Lovers with Ongoing 10-Day Book Fair

New Delhi. : Anand Vihar Namo Bharat station is witnessing a lively gathering of book lovers, with readers from across the region making their way to the ongoing 10-day book fair, StoryBox. With more than 20,000 original books across genres, the fair is offering visitors an opportunity to browse, discover and take home their favourite books. The fair, which began on August 14, will continue until August 23 and is open to all visitors from 9 AM to 10 PM.

One of the biggest attractions for visitors is the unique box-based book-buying concept. Rather than buying individual books, they can buy them by the box without adding a burden on their pockets. Readers can choose between two options, StoryBox Mini or StoryBox Biggie and fill it with as many books as they can comfortably fit. The format has turned book shopping into an experience of discovery, with readers taking their time to browse across shelves, and put together a collection that is uniquely their own, all within a single box.

The collection spans fiction, non-fiction, classics, children’s books and more in both Hindi and English, catering to readers across age groups and preferences. Beyond the bookshelves, the fair is also offering opportunities to meet authors, participate in meet-and-greet sessions and get books signed. Exclusive pre-orders, merchandise and other book-themed experiences further add to the excitement for book lovers.

For many visitors, the fair has become more than a stop along the way. Families, students and regular commuters are finding themselves pausing amid their daily journeys to browse the shelves, explore new titles and spend some unhurried time with books. It has transformed a routine commute into an unexpected literary detour, one that ends with a new story in hand.

Located at one of the region’s busiest multimodal transport hubs, the fair is easily accessible through multiple modes of public transport, bringing together a cross-section of commuters and visitors. With the book fair open to everyone, the initiative has created a shared space around a common interest, making reading more accessible and encouragng meaningful engagement during everyday travel.

The book fair is part of NCRTC’s continuing endeavour to make Namo Bharat stations more than points of transit by introducing experiences that bring culture, learning and leisure closer to everyday life. By creating a space for book enthusiasts, the fair offers commuters a chance to slow down, explore and discover something new, even in the midst of a busy journey. It reflects the evolving role of Namo Bharat stations as public spaces where mobility can coexist with experiences that connect people, interests and communities.
