Rosha Eyes Global Expansion with Made-in-India Wireless Lighting Innovation

  • India’s wireless lighting pioneer Rosha plans global expansion with design-led, Made-in-India cordless lamps, redefining ambience across hospitality, homes and premium lifestyle spaces.

New Delhi: Rosha, India’s first brand focused exclusively on wireless, portable and rechargeable lighting, is charting an ambitious global expansion journey powered by Made-in-India innovation and strong design leadership.

Founded in 2019 by three school friends—Gaurav, Kanwar and Shivam—Rosha was born out of a simple yet persistent challenge observed across the hospitality industry: high recurring costs of candles, safety risks, and the limitations of wired lighting. In just six years, the brand has emerged as a key player redefining ambience creation across restaurants, hotels and modern homes in India and overseas.

Positioned as a design-led lighting brand, Rosha takes pride in its “Make in India” identity, specialising in design innovation, material experimentation and rapid customisation—an essential requirement for luxury hospitality projects. Its USB-powered, cordless lamps offer flexibility, sustainability and ease of use, enabling placement anywhere from bedside tables and study corners to bars, patios and dining tables, without wiring or structural changes. As a sustainable alternative to candles, heavy chandeliers and traditional corded lamps, Rosha’s products consume less energy while delivering superior functional and aesthetic value.

Rosha has built an impressive hospitality clientele, working with leading global hotel groups such as Taj Hotels, The Oberoi Group, Radisson Hotel Group, Marriott International and Hyatt Hotels Corporation. The brand also enjoys a strong presence in India’s premium dining and nightlife ecosystem, partnering with hospitality ventures associated with public figures such as Virat Kohli, Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty and Yuvraj Singh.

Beyond India, Rosha’s footprint now spans seven countries—India, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Seychelles, Germany and England—serving a global hospitality audience that values aesthetics, durability and operational ease. Across these markets, Rosha lighting solutions are installed in over 6,500 restaurants and hotels combined.

In addition to its ready-made collections, Rosha collaborates closely with leading interior designers and architects across India to deliver bespoke lighting solutions crafted from materials such as stainless steel, brass, teak wood and marble. These design-engineering partnerships enable seamless integration of lighting into diverse architectural styles. The brand has also collaborated with premium lifestyle and home décor names such as Fabindia and Asian Paints, strengthening its position within the premium design ecosystem.

A bootstrapped and profitable venture, Rosha has scaled steadily over the past six years. The company’s revenue has grown 25 times during this period, with a 60% increase in monthly run rate compared to last year—reflecting strong demand across both hospitality and consumer segments.

Looking ahead, Rosha is focusing on deeper expansion across the GCC region and entry into the Singapore market, driven by rising demand from premium hospitality and lifestyle spaces. Parallelly, the brand plans to accelerate its direct-to-consumer (D2C) business, with an emphasis on category expansion and wider consumer adoption—further strengthening India’s presence in global design-led lighting innovation.
